As might be expected of someone in his position, Dr. Michael Civin is certainly highly educated. It all started with his graduation from Harvard in 1968 with an A.B. degree cum laude. He followed that up by attending the Albert Einstein College of Medicine from 1968-69, and then he earned his first Master of Arts degree in 1970 from the University of Oregon, followed by his second M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University in 1986.
From his position as a clinical psychology specialist in the borough of the Bronx in New York City, it can be said that Dr. Michael A Civin, Ph.D. has made his mark. He has long been considered a fixture in the New York psychological services community, in part because of his experience. He has been there for almost 30 years by now. Of course, in addition to his position as a co-founder of and senior psychologist for the prestigious Rose Hill Psychological Services, Dr. Michael Civin also works in his own private practice, which provides services to a number of areas in New York City, including Astoria, Manhattan, and Bayville.
In his self-named private practice as well as with Rose Hill, Dr. Michael Civin currently accepts and treats both new and long-time patients with the greatest care possible. He co-founded Rose Hill Psychological Services at a location close to Fordham University because he wanted to offer high-quality psychological services to underserved populations, and to do so at a price that anyone could afford. Because there was such demand for their services, they have since been able to expand.
